Kansas City, Missouri police said they have taken a suspect into custody Saturday after a standoff near E. 43rd Street and Norton Avenue.According to police, a shooting suspect was barricaded inside a house and refused to come out for hours Saturday morning. Police said the suspect fired several shots at officers on the scene, but children inside the home were able to get to safety.Police said an adult female was found shot when the arrived at the scene.“The officers and commanders involved in this incident showed tremendous bravery and professionalism,” said David Jackson with KCPD. “The suspect was taken into custody without further violence.”KMBC 9 will provide more details as they become available.
