KCPD investigates crash involving motorcyclist, FedEx truck

Kansas City police are investigating a crash involving a motorcyclist and a FedEx truck Tuesday evening.Police said officers were called at 5:32 p.m. to Winner Road at the base of the off-ramp from Interstate 435 northbound.Accident investigators said a Yamaha motorcycle was heading east when a westbound FedEx delivery truck turned left into its path. Police said the motorcycle hit the front end of the truck, ejecting the 30-year-old Independence man driving it.The victim was taken to a hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.The driver of the FedEx truck was not hurt.
