Kansas City residents voted Tuesday to renew the city’s earning tax for another five years.Voters approved Question 1 with 77% saying yes.The earnings tax, or E-Tax, is a 1% tax on everybody who works in the city, regardless of where they live.It’s the city’s top money source to pay for basic city services like police, fire, trash pickup and pothole repairs.
