Fitness trainer Gary Taylor, 34, was killed in a shooting Sunday night near the 18th & Vine District.Kansas City police said a fight inside a business that ended with gunfire outside. Three other people were injured.”Gary was the gentlest giant you would ever know,” Rashouna Harris said.As a fitness trainer, Taylor touched many lives, motivating people to give their best.”All Gary promoted was love, unity, hard work, discipline. He wanted to see the best in everybody he came across,” Harris said.His girlfriend says his impact in the community was just getting started. But above all he was a loving father. His youngest child is just 16 months old.”When I think about his 12-year-old daughter is going to have to grow up without her father, how his 5-year-old son probably he doesn’t even know how to process what is going on right now, and how our 16-month-old boy won’t even remember him, Harris said.” I don’t want nobody else to feel this pain. Too many people are already hurting. Too many people,” said Alexander Taylor, Gary’s brother.
